On April 23, the member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Shirak Torosyan met with the representatives of Al Ahram Center for Political & Strategic Studies of Cairo (ACPSS).

Welcoming the guests, the MP presented the process of the implemented constitutional reforms in Armenia and turning into the system of the parliamentary government. Touching upon the inner-political situation of the country, he has noted that peaceful rallies are going on and the steps are taken by the RA authorities for the peaceful solution of the problem.

Shirak Torosyan referred to the balanced position of Cairo in the recognition of the Armenian genocide, expressing hope that in the near future the Parliament of Egypt would recognize a resolution condemning the genocide. Speaking about the process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, the MP reaffirmed the position of Armenia on the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

The guests expressed their gratitude for the meeting, talked about the Armenian-Egyptian centuries-old friendship, the role of the Egyptian-Armenian community and emphasized the further development of the bilateral mutually beneficial relations.
